GRAMMY®-nominated pianist and composer Donald Vega is one of the top call pianists in the world, and a close collaborator of legendary bassist maestro Ron Carter. Donald performs music from his latest release, Play It Forward (Imagery Records/The Side Door), a deeply personal celebration of mentorship and community. Inspired by Vega’s formative years learning from jazz masters, the album effortlessly blends jazz, Latin, and classical influences with memorable melodies and singable tunes. DownBeat calls it “An erudite, well-knit suite of 10 originals, each one telling its own story.” Don’t miss an evening full of striking melodies and improvisational interplay, where Afro-Cuban tradition meets innovation.
